My sister Rachel, of Mercier Beaucoup Stationary Shop, stopped by last weekend for some major bonding! When she’s in NYC and I’m in SF, it’s hard - but it’s even more unbearable when I’m in Boston. So close. Yet, still so far away! It was SO fantastic to spend an entire day, one-on-one with her!

Lavender-Mint Leopard
Around New Years, I begged my best friend Emina’s little sister to let me practice on her nails. She haaaated having even just plain polish on her nails, so when Aida asked me to paint her nails the other night - LEOPARD PRINT - I flipped. Her UNH sorority sisters have served her well! ❤

Big Sky Nails
I painted this mix the other night, during yet another Boston sky full of rain. After I lacquered up the cool tones, I glazed them with a pinkish pearlescent polish and the hope for better weather.

Star Dusty Americana
I’m sorry, but I’m not sorry: I just cannot wait for summer. 4th of July, popsicles, the beach, the sun, the seasonal fruit… This perpetual snow is wearing me thin! Besides, Americana is back on trend. Thank you, Lady Gaga. I think I’ll use bolder colors next time…

Tropical Stripes for Kelsey
I left out the dark green on one hand’s set of leaves, just to compare… I definitely prefer the flower leaves with dark green. It adds dimension. I painted this set with full inspiration from reallysoftsand (at http://reallysoftsand.tumblr.com/).
Emily’s Seascape! She asked for a trailing school of fish on one foot, and an octopus, crab, and starfish (pinky toe) on the other. I had so much fun painting Emily’s weird little toes!
